Hello timcfoulke - Sounds like the washer could be experiencing a communication error with main control board, faulty door lock assembly, pump or the timer itself is not operating correctly. Is the unit making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose or pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. Does the washer display an error code? Try pressing and holding the START and PAUSE/CANCEL button simultaneously. All LED’s will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking LED’s. The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the START and PAUSE/CANCEL buttons are pressed. A two second pause between repeats affords you the ability to make accurate counts to identify an error (if one displays).
