Why Does It Take 24 Hours For Im115 Ice Maker To Work?

That is standard for any ice maker whether installed separately in a unit or a new unit installed that has an internal ice maker. Water must run through the lines and cool sufficiently before the sensor in the ice maker is told to produce ice. Also the freezer must be cool enough to set off a sensor to tell the timer to proceed with ice production.
