So assuming that i would get your vehicle manual and find your cars model and year of make. for ex. 2001 ford explorer.
after you get this nformation i would call your dealership and ask them what type of key your vehicle would take. as well as the key type number. (for ex. 33 or 89)
after getting that information i would go to a local lock- smith or even a hardware store and have a replacement key made.
If you cant get any information at all you could always call for a taxi or even use AAA to tow your GMC to the dealership(for a price).
