Gmx-200 Approach Track

I recently installed a Garmin GMX-200 to replace an older Apollo MX-20 in my Mooney Ovation 2 (steam gauge panel). A previous owner had inexplicably removed the GNS-530 and replaced it with the GNS-430/MX-20 combo. I have updated the NavData on the GMX-200; however, it does not have the ChartView option enabled. My question is regarding approaches: When I enter my flight plan in the GNS-430W, I see the plan depicted on the GMX-200 screen, which shows the current flightpath as a magenta line and the future path to the flight plan's waypoints as white lines. On the approach, my expectation is that the GMX-200 would show the approach path referencing what is shown on the GNS-430W; however, it only shows a magenta line pointing to the destination, not the approach path. I was wondering if the GMX-200 can show the approach since it is a bigger screen than the GNS-430W, and if so, is that a setting or would I need to buy the ChartView option for $2400+. And if it does require ChartView, would that just overlay the chart for the approach with an indicator for the current position of the airplane, or would it also show the flightpath as indicated by the GNS-430W?
