Hdmi Port
does the dx4710-09 have a port for an hdmi cord?

According to the specifications page here (http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/DX/DX4710/DX4710sp2.shtml), this unit doesn't have a HDMI port.
But if you want to use a HDMI connection, the same page suggests this has one PCI-E slot open, so assuming you are not using that slot for anything else, you can pick up a cheap video card($70ish) which will come with a HDMI port.
