Genie Chainmax 1000 Won't Move.

Installed opener today. When I try to program the up and down limits the motor does not run, there is a clicking sound like a relay coming in and then another clicking sound like it kicked out. The chain sprocket does not move during the process. Tried releasing the door from the bullet to see if door was problem but opener did same thing so door is not causing problem. Do these openers have some sort of braking system that may not be releasing to prevent the motor from turning? Or do you think it might be a gearbox problem. Thank you
