Dear Ramya, If you can edit your question to remove both your email addresses and your phone number, I suggest you do it now.

HelpOwl is NOT Google help. The key to retrieving your forgotten password may be whether you set up a second email address or phone in your original gmail box information.

There you will read the following: To reset your password, enter the username you use to sign in to Google. This can be your Gmail address, or it may be another email address you associated with the account.

If your username or full gmail address is accepted you will see those distorted letters or captcha - enter those letters in the box. Then click SUBMIT.

If accepted a message will be sent to the recovery address you listed for your account. Please wait a few minutes, then check any email addresses you might have listed as your recovery address.

The next step is to check those email boxes for a message telling you how to reset your password. If it doesn't appear at any possible email box after a few minutes go to the following page: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=12381

If your username or full gmail address is NOT accepted, recheck to make sure there are no typos and that you've used the full gmail address ending in @gmail.com. Don't forget any punctuation. Return to the password recovery page to try again.

I hope these steps work for you and that you did give Google a way to contact you in the event of a problem when you esablished the account.

I'm sorry about your mother and I realize that this is a stressful time making memory access more difficult.
