To add a recovery email address to Gmail, go to the "Settings" tab in the upper left corner of your web browser. Click on "Accounts and Import". Click on "Add another email address you own". Enter your desired secondary email address, then click "Next Step". Click on "Send verification email", then click "Next Step". Check your email inbox for an email from Gmail with the subject line "Please confirm your Google Account information.

Add or change a recovery email

From here you can: Add a recovery email. Change your recovery email: Next to your email address, select Edit .

Enter your recovery email address.

Select Done.
