A Week After Working New Computer, All Of The Sudden No Connectivity For Gmail

I have tried and tried to find answer and I am very upset.  I rely on my internet and my email to keep up with everyday life.  I receive weekly chemotherapy and have few days of "wellness" and have been wasting them on trying to connect with my email on my new computer.  The new computer worked just fine for a couple of weeks and suddenly I get the "Internet Explorer Cannot Display Webpage"  Click to "Diagnose Connection Problems."  All other websites (ingluding my Google Homepage load just fine.
