Predator 3500 Inverter Generator Will Not Run

Our 3500 watt inverter generator will start with starting fluid, but will not continue to run. We left the old gas in the generator for a year, and In assume tis is the problem. Besides emptying the gas, refilling the tank with fresh gas and stabilizer, what can I do to help this generator keep running after an initial start using starter fluid?

Reasons for this includes:

1. Low oil levels in the generator

2. A clogged fuel valve

3. The battery is dead
