My Scanner Won't Connect

I have a new laptop and installed my hp6500 all in one printer, and the scanner won't work.  I get an error msg stating I don't have a connection.  The printer is working fine

Since you have a new laptop, would recommend clicking the below mentioned link to download the drivers for HP 6500:

Please select the Operating System you are using and download the software.
