Hp Officejet 7000 Will Not Obtain Ip Address

Hi, three things to check:
1. Make sure the printer is set to use DHCP to request an IP address, rather than use a manual/static IP address.
2. Make sure your DHCP server (this may be your router) is enabled.
3. Make sure the network connection between the two devices is good.
If all of those things check out and the printer still won't obtain an IP address, you may have a defective JetDirect card or network card.
