Connectivity Issue

i successfully set up my wireless router and was connecting effeotlessly for about 2 mounths but a few days ago i suffered a short power loss and am unable to get online. my computer shows that I an=m connected to the internet through my router (when I view my networks it is showing my computer with a line to 2 computers saying "identifying" and then another line from the 2 computers to a globe with an "X" on that line)) but I am still not getting online. Every laptop in myhouse can access the internett just fine.

Well my first question was going to be "can any other computers connect?" but you answered that one so we know the wireless access point is good.

Sounds like you are on Windows Vista or 7. There will be an icon in the tray (small indented area on lower right of screen). One looks like a PC monitor with a trident on the left.

Click that icon and a menu will pop-up. Locate your network. Right click it and select5 Properties. Does everything look correct? If not fix the wrong settings and try again.

Click that icon again, open the "Network and Sharing Center". Click on "manage Wireless Networks". Locate your network and select it. Right click it and select "remove".

Give Windows a few seconds to locate your network and reconnect. Enter any pass-phrase you need to.

Hopefully this will fix the issue. It's difficult to go through every fix and every setting on a one-way forum such as this. If you need more help leave another question with further detail.
