Fan Tilt Joint
Requests for more information
We have gotten to the point where the tilt joint is, but we need specific information on HOW to remove the broken tilt joint. It does not come off easily and we are afraid of breaking something else, such as the metal "flap". Should the joint come off by just pulling or is there another way?

Yes, a broken tilt joint on a Holmes pedestal fan HASF-1516 can be replaced. The tilt joint is a plastic piece that connects the fan head to the base of the fan. It allows you to tilt the fan head up and down to direct the airflow. If the tilt joint is broken, the fan head will not stay in place and the fan will not be able to oscillate.
Replacement tilt joints are available from Holmes Products and other retailers. You can also find them online.
