Sorry, it's part of Hotmail.

If you prefer you can use a program like Outlook Express or Thunderbird to get your email locally instead of via the web. You have more control that way.

You could also open a Gmail account and have all the Hotmail email forwarded there. Thats a big band aid but it would work (it's what I do).
