Switched To Live.mail From Hotmail.com And Lost Every Contact And All Messages-s

I have tried through email for days-I do not want to pay for something that you guys did that I had no control over or was this a money maker thang for just ask? how do I access hotmail,com amd not livemail.com to try to recover my messages and contacts.
