I Received An Email 3 Time That Looked Official From You And I Gave My Password

I received an email 3 times from Windows Live Hotmail Team stating that if I didn't give all my info that they would close my account. So I did and now I can't get into my email account....was this you guys or a scam and now how do I get my account back? I can still see my account through my phone because I never log out of that
