How To Re-open An Email In The Outbox

I have send an email with attachment with a total of 4.6 Mb (which is obviously too much). The email has " landed" in the outbox. I have tried to re-open the email in order to delete some of the attachments so that the mail would be able to go out. Unfortunately I could not re-open the mail afterwhich I deleted the mail comletely in order to receive it in the bin, hoping to be able to re-open and re-send it this way. Most unfortunately, it is now still in process of getting the mail into the bin, but not visable anywhere. (just can see " the process" not the mail itself. What must/ can I do???
