My Wheels Are Locked Won't Go In Drive Reverse Or Neutral Why Would This Happen

It is an automatic 2008 h3 hummer , I stopped at my mailbox put it in park left it running when I got back in it would not go in drive reverse neutral the wheels won't even spin they locked up what caused this how do I fix
