Gasket Assembly And Choke Hookup

My Husqvarna hu700f self propelled won't stay running and when it does it runs to hard. The gas cutoff was broken and I replaced it with another hose and cutoff. When I started the engine it was running to high and every time I start it it does this. I think my gaskets need replacing because I didn't do anything to it and now I have to run it on full choke or it won't stay running. I have to attach something to force the choke lever to stay on full choke.

It sounds like there are a few possible reasons why your Husqvarna HU700F self-propelled lawnmower isn't staying running and is running too hard.

Gaskets need replacing: If you think your gaskets need replacing, then that is a good place to start. Gaskets can become damaged over time, which can cause air leaks and fuel leaks. This can lead to a number of problems, including engine stalling, rough running, and excessive fuel consumption.

Carburetor needs cleaning: Another possibility is that your carburetor needs cleaning. The carburetor is responsible for mixing air and fuel in the correct proportions for the engine to run properly. If the carburetor is dirty, it can cause the engine to run too rich or too lean, which can lead to stalling and other problems.

Choke lever is not working properly: The choke lever is used to restrict the airflow into the engine when it is cold. This helps the engine to start and run smoothly. If the choke lever is not working properly, it can cause the engine to stall or run too rich.

To troubleshoot the problem, I would recommend the following:

Check the gaskets: Inspect the gaskets for any signs of damage, such as cracks or tears. If you find any damaged gaskets, replace them immediately.

Clean the carburetor: Remove the carburetor and clean it thoroughly with carburetor cleaner. Be sure to follow the instructions on the carburetor cleaner can.

Inspect the choke lever: Make sure that the choke lever is moving freely and that it is closing completely when the choke is engaged.

If you have checked all of the above and your lawnmower is still not running properly, then it is best to take it to a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.

Here are some additional tips for troubleshooting your Husqvarna HU700F self-propelled lawnmower:

Make sure that you are using the correct type of fuel and oil.

Check the air filter and replace it if it is dirty.

Check the spark plug and replace it if it is worn or damaged.

Make sure that the throttle cable is properly adjusted.

If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the problem yourself, please take your lawnmower to a qualified technician for assistance.
