Removing Debris Shield

I am trying to remove debri shield to access bolts that mount motor to the deck. The motor has been allowed to operate with missing bolts causing some damage to the deck. This may be fixed but I need to remove motor and examine the damaged deck

1. Turn lawn mower on its side with air @257;lter and carbu re-tor up.

2. Remove blade bolt, lock washer, hardened washer and blade.

3. Remove debris shield
