Voice Activation
I have the Samsung Captivate SGH-i897 android phone. I paired it with the Jabra Journey, but when I sent my contact list via Bluetooth the Jabra Journey did not show up in the device after scanning. I'm unable to voice activate calls. I took it to AT&T and they too were unable to make it work. They, also, sell Jabra products.

I'm not sure what you mean when you talk about sending your contact list via Bluetooth. The Jabra Journey will access your contact list through the Bluetooth profile for Phone Book Access (PBAP) - you cannot download your contact list to it.
The Journey allows for quick access to your phone's Voice-Activated Commands, including the ability to call a contact or number, accessed using the Voice button. If you tap this button, it should bring up the Voice-Activated Commands feature on your phone. You need to be sure that this feature is enabled on the phone. If enabled, your phone will ask for a command, such as, "Call..." then the name of the person you're calling.
