Help !!

Hello support team, our kenmore canister vacuum #721 26823 keeps shutting off automatically every 3-5 minutes and becomes very warm .. not sure what's causing it to turn off. We cleaned everything and checked filters..

I would think that the shut down is to protect it from burning the motor up. It has a thermal protection circuit when the temp gets to a preset level. If the unit has some age on it, it probably has worn out motor brushes.

You can let cool between uses, have it serviced if it is worth the expense or buy a new one. Good luck!
