Leapfrog Connect Won't Let Me In To The App Center

I have downloaded leapfrog connect and it shows it is connecting to my LEAPAD. However, in MY TOYS it says it is a leapfrog explorer. Then there is no link to the app center and I have a download card which I cannot use!!!!
