Overload

I own my TH-12A since 6 yeras and it works perfectly,till last septempber, when it started to overload and mute for a while, the probklem is that happens many time during the presentation, and it is getting more frequently.By touching the bach, it is a quiet hot.I am using it as return, with volume around 50%, and a flat EQ.What can be the problem ? and what can I firstly check inside ? (never openned it before).Thanx in advance
