What Is Code For Universal Remote?

I need the code for the universal remote to work. The channels from panel on TV do not even work and keep saying A/V In. Is this TV/VCR cable/satalite campatable? I have the satilite/cable and put in the cable wire where it says Antenae. I also have a DVD Player wires plugged in TV, which is the only thing that works on the TV. What should I do to get the TV and TV remote to work and the DVD player to play on TV?
