Feedback results from an endless loop of sound, producing that annoying high pitch sound. The key is to make sure that the mic doesn't pick up sound from the ear-piece. It also occurs if two phones are off the hook in the same room. If neither of these are an issue, then I don't know what to tell you!

Plug another phone and your magic jack,just to make sure is not the phone. Another thing you could try is to go to the menu, drop down to headset and make sure is set on phone no headset. And adjust your microphone volume control to lower a setting.
