Fist off,did your mj worked in the USA?,if so it should work in Japan as well. Are you at the Hotel or in a private residence?

All this thing must be taken into account. In a Hotel it won't work unless you ask the Hotel clerk to remove the block from your Internet network. If you in a residence call mj customer service number for further assistance:
