Problem Calling To Cell Phone

I have an AT&T Go Phone. I can call from the Go Phone to my Magic Jack number, but can't call the Go Phone from Magic Jack. I try the 7-digit nuber and I get the message to "dial area code". Then I dial the area code w/ number and I get message that "the call can not be completed as dialed". Then I try the call with a "1" before the area code and number and I get the same message. I expected to use this phone often with Magic Jack, so I hope their is a remedy.
