Dishwasher Fails At Start Cycle

Can not start wash cycle. I can start the cycle by pressing Heat Dry-Normal and repeat. Dish washer operates in what apperas a shor cycle. Still can not use all of the various selectors. Is there a Master Clear or a diganostic program that can be actuated from the front Panel?
