How To Replace The Door Seal

the retaining ring came off.  Is there a special tool required to stretch the wire back in place?

I had the exact same problem. I came across a youtube of someone taking the drum rubber off. It showed me wher its suppose to go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFDqUvBgxH4

We used a butter knife and a screw driver to give tork the more you stretch keep going around the ring until you get to the wire and just pull with the screw driver or hard object. It is hard to explane but how you replace a bike tire, is how you do this. Becareful using any sharp objects, you could seriously hurt yourself.
