Help

I have a new Maytag top-loader HE Washer.  The electricity in our area went off for a couple of hours and now my washer won't start.  I checked the breaker and also plugged in a lamp in the socket to make sure that I had electricity at the source.  The water is on.  Is there a re-set of some sort?

Do you have power to the machine? Like does the control panel light up at all? It is possible that there was a power surge and it fried your power source too. That would be my first assumption.
