My Computer 'cannot Find' My Dvd/cd Burner (52max 325216ajv2).

Here's a couple of things that you may check out:

1) Check under CD/DVD Rom drives on the device manager* if the drive shows up at all. If drive is not under CD/DVD Rom drives try to look under "Univeral Serial Bus Controllers".

-If the drive is in either option then right click it and select the properties to see if any error message is displayed.

-If you receive an error message like 28,29,39,41, etc. You can visit the following link to fix it since this is an error related to Microsoft.

-If you don't see any error message then close the properties, right click on the unit (again) but now select "Uninstall", this will completely remove the drive from the computer. Restart your computer so it can be recognized again.

2) If the unit it's not recognized at all by the computer double check the physical conection of the unit. If it's internal check the belts that connects the unit to the motherboard of the computer and try to use another in case the belt might be damaged.

-If it's external check the USB cable and also the USB port of the computer.

3) Try the unit in another computer (if available) to see how it behaves and if you get the same problems.
