Keeping Started

while replacing a front strut on my 2007 GL450 lifhts were accidently left on and my battery had to be put on a charger, at that time my husband checked a fuse located under the front passenger seat and it was good so his helper initally put it back in the wrong spot and my husband corrected that ,however since that point in time the car starts right away but shuts off immediately. Could that be connected to what i just explained because i didnt have a problem with the veichle staying on before this.
