Your heater core is probably plugged up with sediment. It's located under the dash, on the passenger side. It looks like a small radiator. Not hard to replace, but sometimes very hard to access, due to various parts in the way of the heater core box.

A good way to test for a plugged up heater core is to warm up the car and carefully touch both of the hoses that go into and out of the core. Those hoses are on the passenger side firewall in the engine compartment. If one hose is hot, but the other one is only warm or cold, then the core is plugged up.

On the other hand, if both hoses are cool, then you have a bad thermostat that is not opening. That's located on the block. Follow the upper radiator hose to the block and you will find the thermostat housing at the end of that hose. Not hard to replace a thermostat, but you must do it when the car is cold.
