2010 Mountaineer Has Had Intermittant Starting Problems The Dealer Can't Solve.

After running for a short time, engine will randomly not restart unless it sits for 30 minutes, then starts fine. Problem is intermittent and dealer cannot replicate. Has happened 9-10 times. Dealer replaced 2 relays and now starter, admitting they are not sure if this will fix the problem.

I would start by replacing the ignition coil. If the coil is defective, it will act up when the vehicle heats up and you can have a no start condition.

A long shot would be a bad crankshaft position sensor. I believe they can act up when the vehicle is hot as well. If it's the crank sensor, your problem will get worse until the vehicle no longer starts, even when it is cold.
