How Do I Get Someone To Give Me Information About Her Policy And Shares

My mom died on July 29th 2011. I am her daughter and I know that her policy has very little value, but she also has shares with Metlife. I have been trying for several weeks to have them send me a check so I can close out the balance of her funeral expense which is 3,313.00. Can someone please call 718-245-1082 and help me with this matter,
