New Samsung Galaxy Attain

Just bought phone and have 2 problems: (1) caller I'D - name doesn't appear unless it's already in contacts list. (2) Unable to get on Internet without having to make several attempts - 'web Page unavailable - even though my house has wi-fi and I don't have the same problem with other devices.
