If that doesn't work, it could be a bad throttle position sensor (TPS). It's located on the throttle body. You can remove it and see if it has carbon buildup as well. If it's dirty, spray it with carb cleaner. If that doesn't help, you may have to replace it. Very expensive part, though. Around $150 for your vehicle.
Less likely is a clogged fuel filter. That would make the vehicle run rough and lack power. You could try that before you spend $150 on the TPS. I believe the fuel filter for you vehicle is located on the driver's side firewall, but I'm not positive.
My last choice would be a bad fuel pump. Probably not the problem, but if all else fails, replace the fuel pump. It's located in the gas tank.
