Do You Need A Valid Dl To Receive Moneygram

Im trying to pick up money from money gram but my only ID isn't valid. What does that have to do with me getting money ?

In order to receive a MoneyGram transaction, the receiver must present a valid photo identification issued by the government. This protects the security of the funds, as it ensures the MoneyGram agent pays the transaction to the correct person.

Acceptable forms of ID in the US are:
• Driver's license from any U.S. State or territory
• State ID card from any U.S. State or territory
• U.S. Military ID card
• US Passport
• US Passport Card (valid in US, US territories Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean)
• Alien Resident card (Alien ID card, Green Card)
• Puerto Rican Tarjeta de Identificacion Electoral (Issued by the Dept. of Justice)
• Crewman's Landing Permit
• Inmate (Exit Prison) ID (for 6 months after date of issue only)
• Mexican Matricula Consular ID / Certificado de Matricula
• Provisional driver's license without photo if it has a seal and expiration date.
• Tribal ID (from any U.S. Indian Reservation)
• Welfare ID for one time, or short term use only for receive transactions under $3,000.00. Welfare ID is never accepted on transactions of $3,000.00 or more.
• Border Crossing card (Issued by the Dept. of Justice)
• Temporary Resident card (Issued by the Dept. of Justice)
• Employment Authorization card (Issued by the Dept. of Justice)

Accepted international ID are:
• Passport
• National Identity Card
• Voter Registration
