How To 'restore Previous Session' On Firefox With No Button On Homepage Or Menu

There is no "Restore Previous Session" button on my Firefox homepage and it is grayed out in the History menu. When the session crashes I lose all my tabs and tab groups. Otherwise they open up in each sessin, Can you help?
