Netflix Freezes Ps3

I have a ps3 with the netflix app installed. As of last week, if I was watching a movie/show and if I fast-forwarded or rewound, the screen would freeze and I was locked out of any control. I would have to hard reboot the ps3. Currently the freeze lockout has extended itself to selecting anything on the netflix menu for a particular program. So if I select, "Roast of Roseanne" and want to rate it, when I move the selector to the 'rate' section, the screen will freeze and I'm locked out. Is this happening to anyone else and does anyone know any potential solutions? Thanks.

Thank you for your consideration. No, the issue is not corrected. The netflix app still completely locks the ps3 if I touch any button during playback. If I rewind, pause, or fast forward, netflix freezes. Please help.

Are you using a third party controller or have anything else connected to the PS3? If so, try a different controller and disconnect any other things that might be plugged into the console.
