Netflix Suddenly Requires A New Download But Won't Let Me Watch Even Then.

Netflix suddenly appeared with the message that I needed to download a new version of Silverlight to watch any instant streaming on my computer. (It had been working right before that.) I have tried downloading the software, installing it, and restarting my browser and computer several times, and it has not fixed the problem. It still shows the same message when I try to watch anything. I have a Macbook laptop.

Log out of Netflix and go to Tools/Internet Options in your browser and clear/empty the cache/browsing history. Log back into Netflix.
