Nikon P100 Goes To Sleep After Exposure

My nikon p100 goes into a sleep mode after every exposure. To continue. the shutter release needs to be pushed halfway, where the camera restarts. Did I inadvertently reset a function, or is something wrong? Thanks. Elven

I had this same problem until today when I had an Aha! moment. I realized that I had the Interval Timed Shooting mode on. To turn this off, press menu then go down to Continuous. Make sure it is set to Single. What the Interval Timed Shooting is, is when you press the shutter button it takes the first picture, then it will go into standby until say 1 minute goes by, then it will turn back on and take another picture. This may be your problem as well. Hope this helped!

My P100 did the exact thing and updating the firmware to version 1.2 fixed it for me.
