Problem With Taking Pictures

Whenever I turn on my new Nikon S01 the lens will go half way out and twitch every time the camera makes a dinging noise. I've tried holding different buttons and when the gallery button is held it says no pictures and from there I can push the home button and get top the home page. But once I push the camera button it goes back to making the noise with a blank screen. How do I fix this?
