Corrosion

I just bought a 2008 Nissan Rogue and there is an astonishing amount of rust/corrosion on underbody.  Should I be concerned.  I think it is affecting that back suspension.  Would any parts affected by corrosion be covered under the warranty I purchased when I bought the vehicle?  Please say it is covered!!!
