Indicator Light.

Hello......I have an 04reg Nissan Micra owned from new.  It has been excellent.  My nearside rear indicator light is u/s.  I have changed the bulb but still u/s.........the electric wiring looks intact and secure.  Any idea what the problem could be?  Thank you.
