Noisy Track

When the hydraulic lift is attached and I am running on my treadmill, it makes a very loud, obnoxious clunking sound underneath. When I disconnect the lift, there is a reduction in noise, but it is noisy nonetheless, especially when it is elevated (it doesn't seem to matter how high it's elevated, however when it is negative elevation, it's not noisy). The manual doesn't contain any information on maintaining the 7700. Is it supposed to be lubricated? Thanks.

Make sure belts are properly adjusted; loose or tight treadmill belts can cause the machine to malfunction. A misaligned belt can create squeaking, screeching and whining noises. Belts can get off track if your treadmill is not installed on a level surface. Follow your treadmill owner's manual regarding belt lubrication. Maintain a low level of belt friction for optimum performance and to protect your treadmill's motor.
