Onstar Disable

Why is it Onstar will not disable there module when it is as they say inactive and cant be used by them?  I would also like to know why Onstar says they still own the software in the Module that I supposedly purchased and have a title to ?   If onstar does own it and I dont want it In my vehicle I believe they have to remove it.   We will find out real soon.  This is going Viral Onstar
