When you press the OnStar button you should hear beeps. It may take 7-10 minutes to connect. If you see a red LED on your mirror, then there may be a connection error. If you are unable to connect to an advisor then it might be a physical concern, and we would refer you to the dealership.
Also, what year is your pre-owned vehicle? If your vehicle was made in 2005 or earlier and you are having trouble connecting to OnStar, make sure your vehicle is equipped with digital hardware by visiting your dealer.
